Reading from Srimad Bhagavatam Study Guide: 23. The Supreme Lord continued: “The Emperor Svāyambhuva Manu, the son of Lord Brahmā, who is well known for his righteous acts, has his seat in Brahmāvarta and rules over the earth with its seven oceans. The day after tomorrow, O brāhmaṇa, that celebrated emperor, who is expert in religious activities, will come here with his queen, Śatarūpā, wishing to see you. He has a grown-up daughter whose eyes are black. She is ready for marriage, and she has good character and all good qualities. She is also searching for a good husband. So much of the social difficulties we have is simply not understanding how the philosophy actually applies directly in our day-to-day ordinary life. Major principle is applied, we are not bewildered, “Am I servant of Krishna or not? Is Krishna God? Whether I should serve Krishna?” Means, these things the devotees are very fixed on, they are very good at philosophy.
